Green Flags
- Personalized application mentioning your pets by name
- Complete profile with detailed experience
- Multiple verifications including background check
- Positive reviews from other hosts
- Asks thoughtful questions about pet care
- Willing to do video call or in-person meeting
Red Flags
- Generic application that doesn't mention your pets or listing
- No profile photo or incomplete profile
- No verifications completed
- Pushy about off-platform communication
- Reluctant to do a video call or meet-and-greet
- Vague or inconsistent answers to your questions
Arrange a Meet & Greet
Before confirming, we strongly recommend meeting your sitter - either in person or via video call. This allows you to:
- See how they interact with your pets
- Walk through your home and routines
- Ask questions and address any concerns
- Get a feel for their personality and reliability
Tip: If an in-person meeting isn't possible, arrange a video call. Most sitters are happy to accommodate this.
