Choose Your Listing Type
Free Exchange
Most PopularSitters stay for free in exchange for pet care. No payment changes hands between you and the sitter.
Best for: Most situations - attracts dedicated pet lovers looking for unique accommodation
Paid Sitting
OptionalYou pay sitters a daily rate on top of free accommodation. Sitters receive 90% of the agreed amount.
Best for: Last-minute requests, remote locations, multiple pets, or complex care needs
Creating Your Listing
Choose Listing Type
Select whether you want to offer a free exchange (sitters get free accommodation) or a paid sit (you pay sitters a daily rate).
Add Title & Description
Write a compelling title and detailed description. Highlight what makes your home and pets special.
Set Your Dates
Choose your start and end dates, and indicate if you have any flexibility with timing.
Select Your Pets
Choose which pets need care from your pet profiles. If you haven't added your pets yet, you can do so from the listing wizard.
Add Amenities
Let sitters know what's available - WiFi, transport, local amenities, and more.
Set Requirements
Specify what you're looking for in a sitter - experience level, background check requirement, whether couples are welcome.
Review & Publish
Review all details and publish your listing. You can save as draft and come back later if needed.
Tips for a Great Listing
Write a Great Title
Include your location and pet types. Example: 'Cozy apartment in Sydney with two friendly cats'
Add Quality Photos
Upload clear photos of your home and pets. Listings with photos receive 5x more applications.
Be Specific About Responsibilities
List all tasks clearly - feeding schedules, walks, medication, plant care, mail collection.
Include Local Information
Mention nearby attractions, public transport, supermarkets, and the neighborhood vibe.
Important Notes
- You must have a complete home profile before creating a listing
- You need at least one pet profile to create a listing
- Listings can be saved as drafts and edited before publishing
- A booking fee applies when a sit is confirmed (both host and sitter pay)
- For paid listings, you'll need a payment method on file. You'll see a warning when selecting "Paid" if no payment method is set up
After Publishing
Once your listing is live:
- Sitters can find and apply to your listing
- You'll receive notifications when you get applications
- You can edit your listing at any time from My Listings
