Welcome to SitterRight. By using our platform, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully before using our services.
1Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using SitterRight's website, mobile applications, or services (collectively, the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Platform.
2Description of Service
SitterRight provides an online platform that connects pet owners ("Hosts") with pet sitters ("Sitters"). We facilitate introductions and transactions but are not a party to any agreement between Hosts and Sitters.
3Eligibility
To use SitterRight, you must:
4Account Registration
You must create an account to use most features of the Platform. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
Device Security: For your protection, we track trusted devices. You will receive an email notification when your account is accessed from a new device.
5User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Provide false or misleading information
- Use the Platform for any illegal purpose
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Circumvent our fee structure or payment system
- Scrape or collect user data without permission
- Post spam, advertisements, or promotional content
- Interfere with the proper functioning of the Platform
6Sitter Verification
Sitters may be required to complete identity verification and background checks. Background checks are processed by our trusted partner, Certn, and include criminal record searches and identity verification. Background check results are valid for 2 years.
While we take reasonable steps to verify Sitters, we do not guarantee the accuracy of any information provided by users. Hosts are encouraged to conduct their own due diligence before engaging a Sitter.
7Sits & Payments
Important:
All sits and payments must be made through the Platform. Off-platform transactions are prohibited and void any protections offered by SitterRight. Service fees are non-refundable except as specified in our Cancellation Policy.
8Cancellation Policy
We understand plans can change. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair to both parties while ensuring accountability. Cancellation fees apply based on how much notice is given before the start date.
48-Hour Grace Period
When you request a cancellation, the other party has 48 hours to respond or find an alternative arrangement. You can withdraw your cancellation request at any time during this period without penalty. After 48 hours, the cancellation is automatically confirmed.
Standard Cancellation Fees

Sitter Late Cancellation Policy
Sitters who cancel with less than 14 days notice may face a 1.5x fee multiplier (capped at the maximum cancellation fee). Last-minute sitter cancellations leave pets without care, which has a greater impact than owner cancellations.
Where Forfeited Fees Go
Emergency Cancellations
We understand emergencies happen. If you need to cancel due to:
- Death in immediate family
- Serious illness or hospitalization
- Natural disaster affecting travel
- Government travel restrictions
Contact support with documentation for a full refund. The affected party will receive a goodwill payment from SitterRight.
9Liability & Disclaimers
SitterRight is a platform that connects Hosts and Sitters. We are not responsible for:
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
10Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SITTERRIGHT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES.
11Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SitterRight, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of the Platform or violation of these Terms.
12Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of SitterRight or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.
13Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
14Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings.
Account Deletion Process
When you request account deletion, there is a 30-day grace period during which you can cancel the request. After 30 days, your account and personal data will be permanently deleted. You can cancel the deletion at any time during this period from your account settings.
15Modifications
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on the Platform or by email. Your continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
16Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Delaware.
