No. There are no membership fees or subscriptions, now or in the future. Join, browse, and apply free. Hosts pay an activation fee once; sitters pay per confirmed booking. Neither is a membership fee.
Yes. The $9.99 host activation fee is charged once when you confirm your first sit. Later listings have no publishing fee and host platform booking fees are $0. No subscription or recurring charge. Existing hosts with a previously published listing keep their hosting access. Payment does not verify listing information; ID verification is required separately.
Pay the one-time $9.99 host fee when you confirm your first sit. You can create a listing, receive applications, message sitters, and send an offer. Hosts pay no platform booking fee. If you choose paid pet care, you still pay the rate agreed with your sitter.
The sitter pays $9.99 when confirming an offer. Browsing and applying are free. The fee is per confirmed booking, for any duration. Couples and co-sitters share one sitter-side booking fee.
Background checks are purchased separately. US checks through Certn are currently available to eligible US residents. Some sits require a completed check; verification does not guarantee safety.
The host and sitter agree a care rate, separate from platform booking fees. The sitter keeps 85% of that payment. The remaining 15% is the paid-sit service fee. Payment and payout timing are explained before checkout.
For a confirmed booking, the non-cancelling party receives a refund of any booking fee they paid. The cancelling party forfeits any booking fee they paid. Approved emergency cancellations can refund both parties. Refunds cover booking fees under our policy; they do not provide an insurance policy.
