Before You Delete
Please complete these steps before deleting your account:
Complete Active Bookings
Finish any sits you're currently part of or cancel them properly
Withdraw Pending Applications
Withdraw any applications you've submitted
Download Your Data
Request a copy of your data before deletion
Collect Any Pending Payouts
Ensure you've received all payments owed to you
How to Delete or Suspend
Go to Security Settings
Navigate to Settings → Security from your dashboard.
Scroll to Account Actions
Find the 'Delete Account' section at the bottom of the page.
Choose Suspend or Delete
Select whether you want to temporarily suspend or permanently delete your account.
Confirm Your Decision
Enter your password and confirm you want to proceed.
Verification Email
We'll send a confirmation email to verify the request.
Grace Period Begins
For deletions, a 30-day grace period begins. You can cancel during this time.

30-Day Grace Period
When you request account deletion, we give you 30 days to change your mind:
- Simply log in during the grace period to cancel the deletion
- Your account and data remain intact during this period
- If you have active bookings, the grace period extends automatically by 7 days
- After 30 days, anonymization is permanent and irreversible

Can I undo a deletion request?
Yes, during the 30-day grace period. Simply log into your account to cancel the deletion. After 30 days, deletion is permanent and irreversible.
What happens to my active bookings?
Account deletion is blocked if you have active or confirmed bookings. You must complete or cancel all bookings first. If deletion is requested with active bookings, the grace period will be automatically extended until bookings are completed. Pending applications will be withdrawn automatically.
Can I create a new account with the same email?
Yes, after the deletion is complete (30 days), your email address becomes available for a new account.
Will my reviews disappear?
No. All reviews are preserved to maintain trust and transparency in the community. Reviews you wrote and reviews about you will remain visible, but your name will be shown as 'Former Member #XXXXX' (with a unique member number).
What is 'Former Member #XXXXX'?
When your account is deleted, your profile is replaced with an anonymized identity like 'Former Member #12345'. This unique 5-digit number is generated from your account and stays consistent across all your past bookings, reviews, and interactions. This follows the same pattern used by TrustedHousesitters to balance privacy with community trust.
What about my personal data?
Your personal identifiable information (name, email, phone, address, photos, bio) is anonymized and replaced with 'Former Member #XXXXX'. Transactional data (bookings, payments, reviews) is preserved for legal compliance but linked to your anonymized identity. Your original email is hashed for support purposes only.
How long does suspension last?
Suspension lasts until you choose to reactivate. There's no time limit - your account will remain suspended until you take action.
