Booking fees are based on the number of nights in the sit (1–7 nights, 8–28 nights, 29–56 nights, 57+ nights). Both hosts and sitters pay this fee when a booking is confirmed.

Why do both hosts and sitters pay a booking fee?
The booking fee helps us maintain the platform, provide 24/7 support, and ensure a quality experience for everyone. Splitting the cost between both parties keeps it fair and affordable.
When is the booking fee charged?
The host pays their booking fee upfront when accepting a sitter's application. The sitter pays their booking fee when they confirm the sit. If the sitter declines, the host receives an automatic full refund.
Is the booking fee refundable?
If a confirmed booking is cancelled, the non-cancelling party receives a refund of their booking fee and the cancelling party forfeits their booking fee. Approved emergency cancellations can refund both parties.
How does the 15% service fee work for paid sits?
For paid sits, we deduct 15% from the sitter payment. So if a host pays $100/night, the sitter receives $85/night. This covers payment processing and platform costs.
Are there any hidden fees?
No hidden fees! The booking fee and service fee (for paid sits) are the only fees we charge. What you see is what you pay.
Do couples or groups pay separate booking fees?
If two people are sitting together under one booking, they share one booking fee. The fee is per booking, not per person.
