Do
- Be specific about what went well or could improve
- Mention your pets by name if relevant
- Highlight standout moments or behaviors
- Be fair - consider the overall experience
- Write within a week while details are fresh
- Acknowledge any challenges and how they handled them
Don't
- Include personal attacks or offensive language
- Mention issues you didn't address during the sit
- Threaten to leave a bad review to get something
- Review based on factors outside their control
- Include private information
- Leave a review for someone you didn't actually host
Responding to Reviews
You can respond to reviews left for you as a host. This is optional but can be helpful to:
- Thank sitters for positive reviews
- Clarify misunderstandings professionally
- Show future sitters you're engaged
Tip: Always respond professionally, even to critical reviews. Future sitters will see how you handle feedback.
Review Timeline
- Reviews can be left up to 14 days after the sit ends
- Reviews are hidden until both parties submit, or 14 days pass
- This prevents reviews from influencing each other
