Listing Expiry & Re-listing
What happens when your listing expires and how to quickly re-list to find a sitter.
What Is Auto-Expiry?
If your listing's start date passes without a confirmed booking, the listing automatically expires. This ensures sitters only see current, relevant opportunities.
Note: Listings with a confirmed booking are not affected by auto-expiry. Only listings without a confirmed sitter will expire.
What Happens When a Listing Expires
- Your listing status changes to Expired
- Any pending applications are automatically declined
- You receive an email and push notification
- The listing is no longer visible to sitters
How to Re-list
Find Your Expired Listing
Go to My Listings from your dashboard. Expired listings show an 'Expired' badge.
Click 'Re-list'
Click the 'Re-list' button on the expired listing. This creates a new listing pre-filled with all the details from your original listing.
Update Your Dates
Update the start and end dates for your new sit. Review and adjust any other details as needed.
Publish
Review everything and publish your new listing. Sitters can start applying right away.
Re-list vs Edit vs Duplicate
Active / Paused
Active or paused listings can be edited in place or duplicated to create a similar listing with new dates.
Expired / Completed / Cancelled
Terminal status listings show a 'Re-list' button that creates a new listing pre-filled with the original details.
Good to Know
- Re-listing creates a new listing — it does not reactivate the expired one
- Previous applications are not carried over — sitters will need to apply again
- You can view expired listings and their original applications at any time from My Listings
